C34 Command Bridge
2013–17
First of an entirely new series of Carver designs, the C34 is a heavily built flybridge cruising yacht whose tall forward freeboard and wide 13-foot beam provide the interior volume of a much larger boat. A sliding glass entry door opens to an expansive main salon with large windows and a six-person settee and table to port that converts to a double berth. Opposite is a big U-shaped galley with two-burner cooktop, microwave, and a deep sink. A lower helm forward of the galley is optional. There are two staterooms and a single head on the lower level, including a large master suite forward with island double berth, and starboard-side guest cabin with twin single berths that convert to a double. Topside, the flybridge is big for a boat this size with a U-shaped dinette adjacent to the helm and a sun pad aft. The aft deck comes standard with built-in lounge seating and a transom door. A molded-in staircase leads up to the bridge. Wide side decks make the C34 an easy boat to get around. In 2017, Carver designers replaced the oval ports with elongated hull windows. No lightweight, twin 300hp 5.7L MerCruiser gas engines cruise the Carver C34 at 20–22 knots (high 20s top).
