Carver Yachts 46 Voyager
The Carver 46 Voyager is a revised version of the popular 450 Voyager built in 1999–2003. With the 46, Carver designers replaced the 450’s inventive two-stateroom, lower-helm interior with a three-stateroom, two-head layout with no lower helm. The result was an exceedingly capable cruising yacht with the sleeping accommodations of a larger boat. The salon, with its rich cherrywood joinery and deluxe entertainment center, is dominated by a vast Ultraleather settee with twin extending leg rests. Forward, a home-size galley with separate freezer and Corian counters is opposite the raised dinette (with its spectacular outside view). A washer/dryer is located in the port guest cabin, and to starboard is the VIP stateroom with a single and double, with the option of using an insert to create a huge sleeping area. Sliding glass doors open to a fairly small cockpit with an engine room access hatch. Topside, the bridge deck includes a wet bar with ice maker, starboard seating lounge, dinette, and two forward helm chairs. Note that the 46 Voyager’s 560-gallon fuel capacity is the largest in her class. Cummins 480hp diesels cruise at 19–20 knots (low 20s top).
