Carver Yachts
366 Motor Yacht
2002–06
Carver hit the sweet spot with the 366 Motor Yacht (called the 346 Motor Yacht in 2002), a maxi-volume condo cruiser that became one of the best-selling boats in her class. With her high freeboard and raised side decks, the main attraction of the Carver 366 is a very spacious interior whose full-beam salon rivals anything in this class for space and comfort. The original 346 layout is arranged with the galley down and a long L-shaped sofa to port. The updated 366 interior has a mid-level galley to starboard and booth-style dinette to port, forward of an L-shaped sofa—a more practical configuration since most motor yachts this have a dinette. Large front windows and Carver's signature two-tiered window design provides plenty of natural light throughout the salon. Both staterooms have offset double beds to save space, and both head compartments have separate stall showers. A hardtop, central vacuum system, and integral swim platform with molded boarding steps are standard. Built on a modified-V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom, MerCruiser 8.1L 385hp gas inboards cruise at 16–18 knots (mid 20s top). Optional Volvo 310hp diesels cruise in the low 20s.
