3326 Voyager
1977–81
Introduced in 1977, the Carver 3326 Voyager packed a lot of living space into her 33-foot all-fiberglass hull—berths for six, a full galley, booth-style dinette, and standard lower helm position. When all this is shoehorned into a boat this size some concessions are unavoidable. In the Voyager’s case there were two. Since the forward cabin has been stretched as much as possible, there is no room for a chain locker in the forepeak; and with the deckhouse carried well aft, there’s not much space for a cockpit. On balance, however, the Voyager succeeded in delivering family sized accommodations at a very affordable price. A lower helm was standard; the full-service galley includes a full-size refrigerator; and a separate shower stall is found in the head compartment. While the cockpit is very small, it’s still large enough for swimming and diving. Wide side decks are a plus, and the helm is forward on the flybridge which seats three. Several engine choices were offered in the Carver 3326 Voyager over the years, all with V-drives. The cruising speed with twin 250hp Crusader gas engines is 16–17 knots and the top speed is around 24 knots.
