Being born and raised on the Intracoastal waterways of Stuart, Florida, also known as the “Sailfish Capitol of the World”, I have been boating my entire life. In fact, at the age of 16, I was managing and living aboard a 50’ motor yacht. Knowing my passion for the water would be my career path, I set out on a quest to start my own charter fishing business. Through hard work and perseverance, I was able to purchase my own charter sport fishing boat, The Tidewater, at the age of 24. This not only allowed me access to broaden my yachting skills and business experience, but it also taught me valuable lessons regarding maintaining boats in Bristol condition and the “tell-tale” signs of a well-maintained boat.
I was eventually recruited into the “big league” of sport fishing and have captained both custom and production boats. Competing in the top sportfishing tournaments in the world, running the crew, and keeping meticulous servicing records were all aspects of my daily job description. During this time, I also had the opportunity to understand another aspect of boating…the build. By working as a conduit between the owner and the builder, I was responsible for making sure that every need was met to perfection. My most recent accomplishments include 2 boat builds of a 70’ and a 67’ custom sport fisherman. Being a perfectionist at heart, I am still amazed at the detail that goes into these yachts and how important even the seemingly insignificant discrepancy is to overall functionality.
I have also been involved in numerous sales and purchases of multi-million dollar yachts. From the buyer’s perspective, I know what to look for and what to avoid. From the seller’s perspective, I know where there will be added value. I have been honored to work at such an elite level of this profession and honor and integrity have guided me throughout my entire career.

On a personal note, I am blessed to be the father of two beautiful girls and the husband to my wonderful wife, Janis. In our free time we spend every minute we can on the open water, it’s what I love and what I do. I hope to pass this love for the ocean and boating on to my children.
