Portofino 46

2003–05

Sunseeker Yachts Portofino 46
A popular boat in her day, the Sunseeker Portofino 46 combines sleek—by 2003 standards, that is—Mediterranean styling with an excellent deck layout and comfortable cabin accommodations. It’s hardly necessary to wax eloquent about the meticulous fit and finish found in a Sunseeker yacht; this is a company that doesn’t cut any corners in the quality department. Built on a deep-V hull with moderate beam and prop pockets to reduce shaft angles, the seductive interior of the Portofino is an appealing mix of solid cherry cabinets, leather seating, hardwood flooring, and premium galley appliances. The master stateroom (with en suite head) is forward, and a mid-cabin guest stateroom with twin single beds and private head is aft. Note the telescopic dining table in the salon. Topside, the Portofino’s open cockpit layout features U-shaped lounge seating aft, deluxe wet bar with refrigerator, bottle storage and barbecue, and a foldaway cocktail table. Teak decks were standard and most of these yachts were sold with a hydraulic lift swim platform. Engine access is no picnic. A good performer, the Portofino 46 will cruise at 28 knots (32–33 top) with standard 480hp Volvo diesels.
