Manhattan 53

Successor to the highly popular Manhattan 52 (2008–11), the Sunseeker Manhattan 53 combines versatility and performance with a level of luxury unsurpassed in a motoryacht this size. Like her predecessor, the 53 is a three stateroom boat with two heads but without the 52’s curvaceous shapes and edges. Instead, the interior of the 53 Manhattan is more space efficient and features a full dinette on the helm deck, allowing the salon and cockpit to merge effortlessly into a vast entertaining space. The 53’s extra hull length can be seen in the second guest stateroom which has full-size berths rather than bunks and her increased beam is immediately apparent in a much roomier master suite and salon with plenty of light-inviting windows. Prominent features include a pop-up flat screen TV that rises from the salon sideboard, a superbly equipped galley with no less than 13 cupboards and drawers, and a hydraulic bathing platform large enough to stow a tender. Note the joystick control system, teak decks, and optional crew cabin aft. Like all Sunseeker yachts, the finish is impeccable throughout. Cat 715hp—or MAN 800hp—diesels cruise at 22–24 knots (about 30 knots top).
