Nordhavn Yachts 55
Introduced in 2005, the Nordhavn 55 is a full displacement trawler whose towering profile and quality construction provide the utmost in cruising luxury and security. Her high bow provides extra buoyancy in large head seas, and her higher deck takes on less water when the going gets rough. The 55’s asymmetrical cabin allows for a wide main salon and galley, leaving the only side deck on the starboard side. With premium home-style appliances, abundant storage cabinets, and acres of counter space, the galley will please the most demanding chef. The owner's stateroom is on the same level as the galley, located amidships, where the boat’s motion is least objectionable during passages or while at anchor. (Note the tub in the en suite head.) Forward is a spacious guest cabin with a double berth, office area, and private head with stall shower. The 55’s ship-like pilothouse—complete with private stateroom and head—provides full 360-degree visibility. A flybridge is standard, providing the perfect place to operate the boat in good weather. A single 330hp John Deere diesel with dry exhaust delivers a cruise range is close to 3,000 nautical miles at 8 knots.
