The Nordhavn 43 is an around-the-world trawler whose robust construction and practical layout will appeal to experienced cruisers. The 43 incorporates the same full-displacement hull of her siblings in the Nordhavn fleet, a design that delivers excellent seakeeping qualities and features full stern sections and a deep keel. From the cockpit, the 43’s asymmetrical salon is offset to port leaving a single, starboard-side walkway from the cockpit to the bow through the Portuguese bridge. An L-shaped settee is to starboard in the salon with an additional settee opposite. The full-service galley is forward to port with a built-in freezer opposite. Continuing forward and up a few steps is the pilothouse with port and starboard wing doors, watch berth, raised settee, and teak table. Forward and down, the full-beam master stateroom is amidships and features a walkaround queen bed and en suite head with shower. The forward guest stateroom has a double berth en suite head and separate shower. Note the drystack exhaust system and Yanmar 27hp get-home diesel with folding prop. A single Lugger diesel offers a cruising range of 2,500–3,000 miles at 7 knots.
