70 Sport Deck Motor Yacht

The Hatteras 70 Sport Deck is basically a Hatteras 65 Motor Yacht (1988–96) with a Eurostyle swim platform. The transom incorporates an aft platform—what Hatteras called a “Sport Deck”—accessed via curved steps from the aft deck. Her widebody interior is nearly identical to a late-model 65 Motor Yacht with four staterooms below and a vast main salon with dining area and built-in entertainment center. The full-beam master stateroom, reached from a spiral staircase in the salon, features a centerline king bed, walk-in closet, and his-and-hers baths with Jacuzzi tub/shower. The amidships VIP stateroom has a walkaround queen bed and private bath with Whirlpool tub. The forward guest stateroom also has a queen bed. Crew quarters with over/under bunks are located on the port side lower level, forward of the VIP stateroom and aft of the guest stateroom. Note the laundry center in the companionway. Additional features include port/starboard pilothouse doors, large U-shaped galley with Corian counters, four-person dinette, and a spacious flybridge with room for a small crowd. No lightweight, the Hatteras 70 Sport Deck will cruise at 16–18 knots with 1,140hp Detroit 12V92 engines.
