Hatteras Yachts 63 Motor Yacht
Just two years in production until she was replaced by the Hatteras 65 Motor Yacht in 1988, the Hatteras 63 Motor Yacht is notable largely because of her galley-up layout and full-beam salon—desirable features found in most later model Hatteras motor yachts. Below decks, the staterooms and engine rooms are accessed from the pilothouse down a curved stairway. At the landing and immediately to starboard is the dinette. The forward guest stateroom is to port with private head. All the way forward, the crew/guest stateroom offers upper and lower berths, a dresser, and a private head compartment with a separate stall shower. Further aft, the third guest stateroom has twin berths and private head with stall shower. The laundry center is opposite in the companionway with an apartment-size stacking washer and dryer. All the way aft, the enormous full-width master stateroom features an island king berth, walk-in dressing room with vanity, two walk-in closets, and private head with tub and shower. The flybridge is accessed via a ladder from the pilothouse. A small aft deck provides space for line handling. Cruise at 16–17 knots with Detroit 650hp 12V71 diesels.
