60 Extended Deckhouse MY

Hardly any sold It wasn’t just the vast deckhouse that set the Hatteras 60 Extender Deckhouse Motor Yacht apart from the Hatteras 60 Motor Yacht. She’s an entirely different yacht with a main deck galley, four staterooms, and a full-beam engine room rather than the separate walk-in rooms typical of earlier Hatteras motor yachts. Although the extended deckhouse layout widens the salon dimensions, it’s notable that the 60 ED retains some modest side decks—something most extended deckhouse models lack. By eliminating the large afterdeck found in the 60 MY, the 60 ED has a more spacious deckhouse with the galley and dinette open to the salon. The wheelhouse is separated from the galley and offers direct access to the flybridge. The original four-stateroom, three-head floorplan of the 60 EDMY remained unchanged until late 1996 when Hatteras rearranged the lower-deck layout, adding a fourth head compartment and reducing the size of one of the guest cabins. Access to the master stateroom is via a private staircase in the salon, and all of the heads (in both floorplans) have separate stall showers. Detroit 720hp 8V92 diesels deliver a cruising speed of 15–16 knots, and optional 870hp 12V71s cruise at 18 knots.
