Hatteras Yachts 55 Convertible
The Hatteras 55 Convertible (not to be confused with earlier Hatteras 55 Convertibles) is an updated version of the Hatteras 54 Convertible (1991–98) with a restyled superstructure and flybridge and a revised hull bottom with prop pockets. With her modern lines and large cockpit, the Hatteras 55 was designed for the serious sportfishing enthusiast. Her three-stateroom floorplan—nearly identical to the 54—features an expansive salon and dinette area with an L-shaped settee and coffee table to port and a U-shaped galley forward, also to port. Forward and down four steps are three staterooms arranged off a central passageway. To port is the master stateroom with queen bed and private head. The forward VIP stateroom also has a queen bed, and the guest stateroom opposite the master has upper/lower bunks. A washer/dryer is located at the base of the stairs to starboard. The accommodations are finished in high gloss maple joiner work throughout. The 157 square-foot cockpit came standard with a transom fish box, tackle center, and livewell. Topside, the flybridge has a pod-style helm console with power actuated electronics console. Cat 1,400hp diesels cruise at 28–29 knots (low 30s top).
