45 Convertible

Introduced in 1989, the Hatteras 45 Convertible is an updated version of the previous Hatteras 45 Convertible (1984–88) with fresh window styling, a reconfigured cockpit and flybridge console and the elimination of the front windshield. The galley down interior is new as well, beginning with a well-appointed salon with serving bar, factory entertainment center and U-shaped lounge with concealed rod storage and teak hi-lo dining table. There are two staterooms below including an amidships master with angled queen island bed and private head with separate stall shower. The bow guest stateroom has over/under berths to starboard, washer/dryer cabinet opposite and private access to the second day head and shower. The big 132 square foot cockpit of the Hatteras 45 features a molded bait and tackle center, livewell, in-deck fish box, transom door with coaming gate and optional top-loading freezer. The engine room is accessed from rear of salon. Built on a low-deadrise hull with moderate beam and a solid fiberglass bottom, standard GM 535hp 6V92 diesels cruise at 20–22 knots (mid 20s top). Optional 1,070hp 6V92 engines cruise at 24–26 knots.
