Hatteras Yachts
43 Motor Yacht
1985–87
The most popular aft cabin yacht in her class during the late 1980s, the Hatteras 43 Motor Yacht remains a solid choice for cruising couples who appreciate this yacht’s timeless lines and quality construction. From her comfortable two-stateroom interior to the large aft deck for entertaining, there’s much to admire in the Hatteras 43. The master stateroom features a queen size centerline berth, private head with separate shower stall, and generous drawer and hanging locker storage. A washer/dryer is located inside a locker near the entryway door. The salon is exceptionally spacious for a boat this size with a large L-shaped sofa to port and an occasional chair to starboard. A built-in entertainment center is on the forward starboard side of the salon. The mid-level galley is to port and has a large full-size refrigerator. The forward guest stateroom features a V-berth as well as a private head with shower stall. An alternate layout has twin beds in the master stateroom. A hardtop and radar arch were standard, and the wide 12-inch side decks are notable. at 375hp diesels cruise at 16–17 knots. Optional Detroit 465hp 6-71s cruise the Hatteras 43 MY at close to 18 knots (low 20s top).
