Grand Banks Yachts
Eastbay 44 SX
2016–20
Beaujpgully crafted and styled, the Eastbay 44 is a Downeast luxury yacht at its most alluring. First developed in the 1990s, the Eastbay series has proved highly popular and Grand Banks claims the 44 to be the lightest and most technologically advanced Eastbay to date. Two main layouts are available in the 44, both with an en suite master stateroom forward, a single guest stateroom to port, and a third room to starboard. In one case this can be a third cabin, in the second option it will be a utility room. The aft and side windows in the salon open, and the salon has a U-shaped settee to port and the galley, with Quartz countertops, to starboard. The boat has a large teak swim platform and a comfortable cockpit with seating for up to four people. The aft portside window drops down electrically and hides away to provide a pass-thru to her cockpit. The interior blends a variety of luxury materials including golden teak, stone and leather. Electric side and aft windows raise and lower and large skylight hatches forward improve ventilation and light in the salon. Standard power for the Eastbay 44 is twin Volvo 435hp IPS 600 engines with cruising speeds in the mid 20 knot range (about 30 knots top).
