36 Europa

1988–98

Grand Banks Yachts 36 Europa
One of Grand Bank’s most sought-after models, the 36 Europa combines graceful styling with comfortable accommodations in what is arguably one of the finest coastal cruising yachts ever produced. She’s built on the same semi-displacement hull as the Grand Banks 36 Classic, but the Europa’s flybridge extends over the aft deck and side decks resulting in a larger flybridge than most 36-footers. (Another advantage of this design is the shade afforded to the aft deck and interior at various times of the day.) Available with one or two staterooms, the Europa’s full teak interior features a space-efficient salon with L-shaped dinette to port, high-low table, helm station with deck access door, and L-shaped galley with microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and overhead storage cabinets. A two-stateroom floorplan was standard (the guest cabin has a sliding pocket door for privacy), while an equally popular single-stateroom layout has a split head design with a huge walk-in shower to starboard, and an enlarged master suite with island queen berth. Note the teak decks and cabintop. A single 135hp Lehman diesel will cruise at 7–8 knots; twin 210hp Cummins diesels cruise at 10–12 knots.
