Eastbay 43 Flybridge

The Eastbay 43 Flybridge is an extended-cockpit version of the original Eastbay 40 Sedan of which 20 were built from 1996–97. She’s a handsome Down East-style cruiser whose upscale interior and excellent performance are a departure from the traditional go-slow Grand Banks product of old. The Eastbay’s deep-V hull employs prop pockets to reduce shaft angles, a feature that also allows for relatively shallow-water running. The standard two-stateroom, galley-up floorplan has a single head with a stall shower, and an alternate two-stateroom floorplan has the galley down and two smaller heads. Typical of any Grand Banks product, the Eastbay’s traditional full teak interior is meticulously crafted throughout. Note that the newer 43 with its enlarged cockpit is a better-looking and more balanced boat than the original Eastbay 40 with the added advantage of additional fuel capacity. Standard features include wide walkaround decks, a teak cockpit sole, radar mast, transom door and shower, and a well-arranged flybridge. Not inexpensive, twin 300hp Cat diesels cruise at 18–20 knots (about 22 knots top), and optional 375hp Cats cruise at 22–24 knots.
