Grand Banks Yachts 49 Motor Yacht
The Grand Banks 49 Motor Yacht is distinguished from the original 49 Classic by her raised aft deck platform (the Classic has full walkaround decks and a small cockpit) which gives her a roomy full-width entertainment platform just a few steps down from the bridge. Like the rest of the Grand Banks fleet, she’s constructed on a solid fiberglass semi-displacement hull with hard chines, a deep forefoot and a long, prop-protecting keel. The interior layout—the same as the 49 Classic but with a larger master stateroom—includes three staterooms with three heads, a standup engine room, a luxurious master suite, and a spacious main salon with deckhouse galley and lower helm. An optional two-stateroom arrangement has the galley down and an enlarged salon. Notable features include a fold-down mast and boom assembly, teak decks, a very spacious flybridge, a well-arranged engine room, and wide side decks with high protective bulwarks. Solid construction, superb engineering and meticulous attention to detail made the 49 a very popular yacht. Twin 375hp Cats cruise at a steady 13–14 knots, and twin 435hp Cats cruise at 14–15 knots.
