42 Sports Cruiser
0
Sharing the same semi-displacement hull as the famous Grand Banks 42 Classic, the 42 Sports Cruiser is a beaujpgully styled flybridge sedan capable of serious sportfishing or economical family cruising. Her long forward trunk cabin and large house give the Sports Cruiser a distinctive and traditional profile. Like all Grand Banks boats, the keel provides grounding protection for the running gear, and the simulated planked hull is flawlessly finished and topped with a teak caprail. Her practical two-stateroom, galley-up floorplan includes one full head and a deck access door at the lower helm. Grain-matched teak paneling and a teak parquet sole join with the large wraparound cabin widows to create an open and very traditional salon. Twin teak-framed sliding doors open from the salon into a very large cockpit with a teak sole, transom door, and plenty of room for a tackle center and mounted chair. A classy boat with tremendous eye appeal, engine options ranged from standard 135hp Lehmans (8 knots cruise) to 375hp Cats (16 knots cruise; about 20 knots top). Note that production of the 42 Sports Cruiser lasted for only a few years.
