60 Convertible

Offered with an open or (since 1995) an enclosed bridge, the elegant Bertram 60 Convertible is built on a stretched and reworked version of the Bertram 54 hull—one of the best open-water boats in the business. Bertram sold a lot of these boats, and her blend of modern styling, strong performance, and functional accommodations were a match for the best convertibles in her class. Originally, the Bertram 60 was a three-stateroom boat with three full heads, big U-shaped galley, and a wide-open salon. A four-stateroom dinette layout was introduced in 1999, and the decor immediately reflected the styling influences of the Ferretti Group, the Italian conglomerate that purchased Bertram the previous year. A laundry center is located in the galley area, and a booth dinette is featured in the four-stateroom interior. With over 140 square-feet of space, the 60’s cockpit came standard with tackle center, livewell, transom door and gate, an enormous in-deck fish/storage box, and engine room access. The flybridge features a wraparound helm console with lounge seating forward. Side exhausts became standard in 1997. No lightweight, Detroit 1,400hp 16V92 (or 1,400hp Cat 3412) diesels cruise at 30–32 knots.
