Bertram Yachts
35 Flybridge
2018–20
Designed by Michael Peters, the Bertram 35 incorporates several design features from the iconic Bertram 31. Even at a distance it's easy to recognize this boat as a Bertram. The hull is designed with pocketed propellers and equipped with a Seakeeper gyro stabilizer and a bow thruster—all as standard equipment. The blend between classic and contemporary is on full display in the cabin with its striking mix of curves, strong angles, traditional woodwork, and modern fixtures. The salon is exceptionally bright and open thanks to a full wraparound windshield that lets in plenty of natural light. To port is a convertible dinette, and on the starboard side is the galley area with sink, stove, microwave oven and television. Forward are a head with shower and offset double berth. Aside from her classic Bertram lines, the most striking feature of this retro beauty is the spacious cockpit. Raised motor boxes double as forward-facing sun pads. A transom livewell and in-deck fish boxes are standard. On the downside, the Seakeeper stabilizer and genset result in a cramped engine room. Thanks to prop pockets, even with straight shafts the draft is just 2'6". Twin 507hp Cat inboard diesel reach over 35 knots top.
