Azimut Yachts Magellano 66

“If the intention of the Magellano 66 was to bridge the gap between so called ‘serious’ trawlers from the likes of Grand Banks and Fleming, and the more avant-garde trawlers from the high volume production builders, then Azimut has succeeded brilliantly.” –Motorboat & Yachting Magazine (UK) EDITOR NOTES: A trawler with contemporary styling, the Magallano features what Azimut calls a “dual-mode hull,” with double chines, a vertical bow, and generous forward volume. On the main deck, a single-level space with large sliding doors keeps the living areas simple, open and panoramic. The lower deck houses a full-beam master suite, two VIP cabins, and a fourth cabin that can be configured as a pantry. Washer and dryer are easily accessible from the passageway that leads to the cabins. Twin Volvo 800hp D13 V-drive diesels provide a cruising speed of 18–19 knots (low 20s top). The cruising range is nearly 1,000 nautical miles at nine knots.
