After 30 years in Miami Beach, the famed Miami Yacht Show is crossing the causeway in 2019 and taking place in a new location at One Herald Plaza on Biscayne Bay between the Venetian and MacArthur Causeways. Long gone are the days of waiting in heavy traffic on Collins Avenue. The Miami Yacht Show’s new location is centrally located in the heart of Downtown Miami, and with multiple easy ways to get to the show, it promises to be one of the best Miami Yacht Shows yet. Location

The Miami Yacht Show’s new location is conveniently located close to Miami’s new Brightline Station, the interstate, and not to mention some of the finest shopping and cultural districts in Miami-Dade. Within the show itself, you won’t have to walk far to find HMY Yacht Sales. With over 30 boats ranging from 37’ to 165’ on display, HMY will be located at the end of Ramp C. In addition to exceptional brokerage vessels, new models from Viking Yachts, Princess Yachts, and OKEAN Yachts will also be displayed on Ramp C. HMY Yacht Sales professionals will be on hand at the HMY brokerage display and the Viking Yachts, Princess Yachts, and OKEAN Yachts displays, available to assist you along every step of the way when it comes to your new or pre-owned yachting needs. With the Miami Yacht Show steps away from some of Miami’s best offerings such as the Perez Art Museum, Wynwood Walls, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, and the American Airlines Area, the Miami Yacht Show is unique in that you can truly make your visit down to Miami and the Miami Yacht Show an experience.

Parking and Transportation

For those driving to the Miami Yacht Show, the new venue is located at One Herald Plaza and offers over 3,500 spots for parking in both general parking and valet lots. Just minutes away from the interstate, and steps from Miami’s new Brightline station, getting to and from the Miami Yacht Show has never been easier. Once at the show, a complimentary water taxi and shuttle will provide transportation to guests wishing to go to the Miami Yacht Show’s secondary location, SuperYacht Miami on Watson Island. South Florida residents near West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale can take the high-speed Brightline train directly to the Miami station, and make it to the show in 60 minutes if traveling from West Palm Beach, and 30 minutes if traveling from Fort Lauderdale. Once at the Miami Brightline Station, show guests can take a rideshare service to the show entrance which is just one mile away, or take the complimentary Metromover from the Wilkie D. Ferguson Jr. stop, one block south of the Miami Brightline station, to the Adrienne Arsht Center stop which is within a 3-minute walk of the Miami Yacht Show entrance. During show days, guests departing from West Palm Beach or Fort Lauderdale's Brightline stations can enjoy 25% off their Brightline fare with the promo code YACHTMYS.

Accommodations

Have we mentioned how convenient the new Miami Yacht Show’s location is? The new show venue places those who are not only attending the show but staying overnight, within minutes of the best luxury accommodations in the Downtown and Brickell areas, most of which are within a five-minute walk to one of the many stops along the Metromover routes connecting Downtown and Brickell to the Miami Yacht Show and beyond. Among some of the hotels that can be found in Downtown and Brickell are the Four Seasons, two JW Marriott locations, and the W. With hotels booking up quickly, HMY recommends reserving your accommodations sooner rather than later.

Area Attractions and Events

Outside of the Miami Yacht Show, many of Miami’s best spots are also within minutes away. Once the show ends, enjoy a night on the town by dining at some of Miami’s finest restaurants and having cocktails at the trendy bars in the area. With the Metromover offering complimentary service until 11PM on Thursday evenings and 12AM on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, you can easily travel between the areas surrounding the Miami Yacht Show without the need for a car. For those attending Primetime Preview on Thursday, February 14, Andrea Bocelli will be performing at the American Airlines Arena down the road from the Miami Yacht Show for a special Valentine’s Day concert. Also close to the Miami Yacht Show are the Perez Art Museum, Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, Miami Children’s Museum, and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Miami’s famed Wynwood Walls are less than 2 miles away from the Miami Yacht Show. Located in the trendy Wynwood neighborhood, the Wynwood Walls are a collection of giant walls spanning across six buildings that have been transformed into larger than life art canvases by famed artists from around the globe. Also taking place during the Miami Yacht Show is the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, happening February 16-18. Celebrating fine arts, live performances, and local flavors, the Coconut Grove Arts Festival is located in what has long been considered Miami’s original art district, the neighborhood of Coconut Grove, which is a quick 20 minute drive south of the Miami Yacht Show. The Coconut Grove Arts Festival can also be reached from the Miami Yacht show by taking a Metromover from the Adrienne Arsht Center stop to the Government Center Metromover Stop, where you will transfer to the next Southbound Metrorail train (daily Metrorail passes available at the station for purchase), taking it to the Coconut Grove Station. The Coconut Grove Arts Festival will then be one mile south of the stop. The Miami Yacht Show runs from February 14-18, 2019 and is located at One Herald Plaza, Miami, FL 33132. HMY’s 45+ brokers will be on hand to assist you with your yachting needs at our display located on the Venetian Causeway side of the show.
