It is another reflection of the design revolution under Antony Sheriff, executive chairman of the UK yard, who joined Princess from supercar builder McLaren. For the Y85 design, he again added Pininfarina (the same firm they partnered with to create the sleek, luxurious R35 high-performance sports yacht) to his design team.

Designed as a single piece, the intention of the Y85 design team was designing without distinguishing the interior from the exterior in terms of style, creating a seamless experience for the owner and guests.
This is on full display on the expansive single-level main deck, which provides ample entertaining space. The aft deck and the main saloon merge seamlessly thanks to sliding-glass doors that open wide to allow the outside into a space that’s already flooded with natural light. The saloon features twin L-shaped seating areas with a two-seater sofa and coffee table, and entertainment center incorporating a 55” UHD LED TV on an electric raise/lower mechanism that rises from behind the starboard couch, a Naim audio system and ceiling-mounted speakers, sideboard unit with bottle and glass storage and refrigerator, dining area for eight people with a full-height panoramic window, and a day head.
