Top 10 Features of the Viking 54 Convertible
The Viking 54 Convertible is a world-class midsized sportfish convertible that offers the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and performance. This model is an ideal choice for serious sportfishing enthusiasts as well as those who enjoy long-range cruising and entertaining.
Almost 60 Years of Boat Building Experience
With almost 60 years of boatbuilding experience, the 54 Convertible is another example of Viking's leadership in building the finest sportfishing yachts through its expansive Research and Development and Engineering Departments, and executed with over 1,300 high quality boat builders.
The Viking 54 Convertible features a luxurious three-stateroom, two-head layout with a large salon, a fully equipped galley, and a dinette area. The master stateroom is located amidship and features a queen-sized bed, while the VIP stateroom is located forward and has a queen-sized bed or optional crossover bunks. This is a popular option for owners with large fishing teams. The third stateroom is located starboard and features two twin bunks.
In the salon, the passageway is uninterrupted from the starboard-side cockpit door to the stairs. The design choice makes for a wide-open floor plan that takes full advantage of the yacht’s 17-foot, 8-inch beam.
The galley's peninsula countertop features engineered stone with an overhang and two convenient bar stools. Meal prep is a breeze with four Sub-Zero fridge-freezer drawers, an in-cabinet microwave, a four-burner electric cooktop, and several cabinets above and below. Optional custom Amtico flooring rounds out the galley's amenities.
Spacious Cockpit with Mezzanine Seating
The 154 square-foot cockpit of the Viking 54 Convertible is spacious and designed for serious fishing. It features a large mezzanine with comfortable seating, optional refrigeration and bait freezer storage below, a tackle center with ample storage, and a livewell for keeping your catch fresh.
Other options for the cockpit include an Eskimo 540 lb/day ice machine, a Seakeeper 18 Gyro Stabilizer, and refrigerated fish boxes, all allowing the 54 Convertible to be a winner in the tournament circuit.
Powered with optional twin 1,550hp MAN diesels, the 54C tops out at approximatley 41 knots with a cruising speed in the mid-30s.
Like all Viking convertibles, single-lever electronic controls with integrated bow thruster controls are mounted on a raised teak helm pod. Optimus electronic power steering delivers precise maneuverability and finger-tip control. Forward of the helm console is a lounge seat with armrests as well as port and starboard lounge seats with forward-facing backrests.
The Viking 54’s generous fuel capacity of up to 1485 gallons gives it a range of approximatley 400 nautical miles — well above other yachts in this class.
Copious Rod Storage
The Viking 54 Convertible features a variety of rod storage options, including built-in rod holders from Gemlux Marine and under-gunwale storage. This ensures that you have plenty of space to store your fishing gear.
