The Princess Yachts Lineup at Boot Düsseldorf 2018
This past January the massive Düsseldorf Convention Center once again played host to Boot Düsseldorf, the largest indoor boat show in the world. With upwards of 15 interconnected exhibition halls filled with all things marine related, the 2018 event lasted for nine days and was host to visitors from all over the world coming to see the latest and greatest in pleasure power & sail boat design. HMY Yachts was lucky enough to have Sales Professional John Strader in attendence at this year’s installment of the show which featured 1,923 exhibitors from 68 different countries over 220,000 square metres of stand space. John reported back to us providing us with an excellent review of this highly-regarded yachting event.
With European builders leading the world in design innovation and aesthetics, Boot Düsseldorf is known to offer a preview of the very latest in the evolution of pleasure yachts. Certainly the major manufacturers, Princess, Ferretti, Azimut, Sunseeker, Riva, San Lorenzo, Monte Carlo and Fairline are all on display but in addition, other brands less familiar to our American market also make strong showings. Builders like Frauscher, Fjord, Cranchi, Pardo, Pearl, and Mazu offer high quality, innovative designs in smaller craft.
Easily the most impressive part of the show takes place in hall number six, an enormous building that can accommodate 40′ to 130′ yachts for display and inspection on its spacious showroom floor. In recent years this unique event has become an absolute must attend for most of the major European yacht manufacturers in order to showcase their latest models and technical innovations.
Among all the major manufacturers showing their wares, no company presents a more impressive and dominating display than world-renown Princess Yachts. This year the Princess stand featured 10 different models with the largest in the lineup and the entire show being the spectacular new 35 meter M Class Motoryacht.
A true ode to Princess motor yacht craftsmanship, the luxury and space alone found throughout the 35 M are undeniably the top of its class. The Princess 35M features exceptional accommodations including a full-beam master suite on the main deck, with additional three or four guest cabins below. The whirlpool bath and shower is another signature touch provided for on this Princess.
The flybridge is an expansive one, with the aft cockpit luxuriously adorned for dining or simply spending time with friends. At the bow lies a serious foredeck lounge for entertainment until its time to sleep under the stars.
Setting a new benchmark in design the 35 M is eye-catching as it showcases a state-of-the-art glass bridge and resin-infused hull technology to help reduce weight without compromising on luxurious space or power. This also helps increase range on longer getaways. The ante-room features a TV room, library, private owner’s retreat, and panoramic views. The staterooms are posh, with several layout options available for you.
As if the awe-inspiring 35M taking center stage at Boot Düsseldorf wasn’t buzz-worthy enough, Princess also presented the world premiere of three additional new models, the V-50, V-65, and New flagship S Class, the S78. Although photos can’t possibly do justice to these breathtaking new Princess offerings, John nevertheless included a few photos to try to give us some sense of the leading edge design and state of the art workmanship and materials that go into each and every Princess. Here are a few shots walking through the New Princess V-65.
The Princess line up at Düsseldorf also included these not-to-be-missed models:
