The OKEAN 80’ Flybridge Motor Yacht Takes Home the Revelation of the Year Award at the 2020 World Yachts Trophies in Cannes
The latest model to join the OKEAN Yachts model line-up, the OKEAN 80’ Flybridge Motor Yacht, has won the Revelation of the Year award at the 2020 World Yachts Trophies gala. The 19th annual World Yachts Trophies were presented on September 12, in Cannes.
Originally slated to make her World Premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, the OKEAN 80’ Flybridge Motor Yacht will be making her debut soon, and as the exclusive North American representative for OKEAN Yachts, HMY is looking forward to welcoming you aboard when the day comes.
As the World Yachts Trophies Revelation of the Year Award winner, the OKEAN 80’ was recognized for the innovative concept behind her design. Created by Paolo Ferragni, the layout of her decks and use of space is centered around achieving a continuous and harmonious balance of functionality and elegance between living accommodations and social spaces.
Whether soaking up the sun from the OKEAN 80’s transom beach club, taking in the unobstructed views of the surrounding waters from the flybridge, or relaxing in the salon, the open layout of the OKEAN 80’ Flybridge Motor Yacht continues to deliver on OKEAN’s signature “Open Up Your World” experience by allowing the vessel to immerse itself in its environment and connect with the nature around it.
Equipped with the OKEAN’s signature fold down balconies and aft spaces that are larger than most competitors, the OKEAN 80’ Flybridge’s innovative social environments serve as a natural extension of the yacht. Another unique element is the transformer platform transom that is not only submersible for a seamless zero-entry swim experience but is also capable of elevating out of and above the water to serve as a dive platform for those looking to make an entry with a splash.
The innovative design of the OKEAN 80’ offers seamless transitions between interior and exterior spaces which are imperceptible with her salon doors and side hull balconies open, allowing for a complete sense of freedom when onboard. Even with her side hull balconies closed, her wide windows that provide panoramic views from all directions absorb the natural surroundings to create a yachting experience like no other.
Powered by a pair of MAN 1,550 hp engines, and a cruising speed of approximately 18 knots, this OKEAN yacht has a range of 300 nautical miles. For improved vessel stability, she is also equipped with a Seakeeper gyro stabilizer.
