Show Report: 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

By HMY Contributor   November 3, 2020

The 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show wrapped up on November 1st and while there were fewer show attendees than in year’s past, it was indeed a quality over quantity situation on the docks.  The smaller crowds gave qualified buyers more time and space to walk through vessels of interest which turned out to be a great benefit.

HMY Yacht Sales is very pleased to report a strong number of sales out of FLIBS 2020 with deals moving forward on seventeen yachts.

“Like a lot of exhibitors, we went into the 2020 show not knowing what to expect but came out of it pleasantly surprised with our success.”, said HMY Yachts Director of Sales Tim Derrico. “All signs continue point to the industry thriving in this Covid economy”.

One of the biggest highlights of the 2020 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show was certainly the debut of the new Viking Yachts 54’ Convertible. The Viking 54’ took home the coveted “Best Of Show” award and received high praise from a panel of judges on its head-turning design, impressive performance and unparalleled big-game fishing capabilities.
