Ocean Reef Rendezvous Recap 2022
This Summer HMY Yacht Sales hosted their annual Rendezvous in Ocean Reef! HMY clients traveled from near and far to the upper Florida Keys for an eventful getaway via boat.
Arrival to Ocean Reef Club
To kick off the event, HMY clients arrived at the Ocean Reef Marina, in Key Largo. Clients were greeted by HMY staff members and given welcome bags upon arrival. Each boat showed the HMY staff their boat team shirts. The HMY staff judged all boat team shirts by creativity, theme, and originality. Later in the evening, HMY held a dinner event at Waterside with live entertainment and a DJ.
Red, White, and Blue
Day two of the Ocean Reef event kicked off with a snorkeling trip to the Carys Fort lighthouse, located just off of the coast of Key Largo, FL. Our snorkelers saw a variety of reef fish, as well as spiny lobster, spotted eagle rays, hogfish, and grouper inhabiting the surrounding reef structures.
Golfcart and dockside cocktail competitions followed, as clients brought their patriotic-themed golf carts and their red, white, and blue craft cocktails to the judges in the marina. All of our teams did a fabulous job, and as always went above and beyond with their decorations.
Our patriotic-themed events didn’t stop there and rolled into the evening of day two for HMY’s Stars and Stripes-themed dinner party at Palm Court. The costumes worn for this party were nothing short of amazing!
Beach Bash and Awards
Day three of the HMY Rendezvous was jam-packed with activities. Beach day was a blast with the HMY beach Olympics taking place. The Beach Olympics consisted of a hula hoop contest, a three-legged race, a sack race, and the famous “Build Your Own Boat” regatta race!
The “Last Catch” fishing event was held on day three as well and team “High Life” took home first place with the largest dolphin (mahi-mahi) caught. Day three came to a close with an awards dinner and celebration in Tarpon Ballroom. All of our clients competed in the events and awards were given out to a variety of teams who won the various contests that spanned through the trip.
Farewell Brunch
The final and last event of the HMY Rendezvous was a farewell brunch for Father’s Day. All of our clients enjoyed a hardy breakfast with fresh fruit and breakfast foods to conclude a wonderful trip to Ocean Reef Club. We also wished all of the fathers in attendance a very happy Father’s Day.
