HMY’s Viking Yachts Update: November
Along with Viking’s presentation of the finest sportfishing products in the industry at this year's Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, the company took the opportunity to announce several models to the world.
64 Convertible Enclosed Bridge
Although the second generation of the 64 Convertible was launched at FLIBS 2021, Viking announced that it would now offer the very popular convertible in an Enclosed Bridge configuration. With the mold now being produced, Viking will now have the ability to take the best aspects of the 64 Convertible and offer the same comforts that a much larger enclosed bridge Viking would provide. An air-conditioned space that feels like another salon with ample seating, storage, and refrigeration, flanked by an expansive forward helm area that provides 360-degree visibility to the Captain will help this battlewagon travel far distances.
Valhalla Boatworks also had some exciting news with the launch of two models, the V28 and the V29.
V28
The V28 will be a true bay boat designed to target inshore species, but with the strength to handle tough conditions like any Viking can. With a deadrise of 18 degrees and an engine down draft of approximately 22”, the V28 will have the ability to run hard in the skinniest of waters. With several single or dual-engine options from both Mercury and Yamaha, the V28 will be sure to reach the fishing grounds quickly.
V29
The V29 will be considered a Hybrid boat, having both the inshore design capabilities and styling, but the strength and amenities to handle the right offshore conditions that larger center consoles can. The V29 will offer many large boat options such as a Seakeeper 1, an electric head, a bow thruster, and a thru-stem claw anchor. Also, with several twin-engine packages from Mercury and Verado running on 180-gallon fuel capacity, many fishing grounds are within reach.
