HMY Client builds first Viking 90 Open Bridge Convertible
Since the initial announcement of the Viking 90 Convertible and the launch of Hull #1, the model has received an incredible amount of global attention. Hull #1 debuted at the 2023 Viking VIP and Miami International Boat Shows as a Skybridge Model. HMY is ecstatic to be building the first Open Bridge 90 Convertible, Hull #5.
As one can imagine, the Open Bridge Convertible presents a slightly different layout, which is showcased on Hull #5. Unlike on the Enclosed Bridge or Skybridge versions that have the day head placed forward of the dinette to port, the expansive day head on Hull #5 is located just forward of the salon door, providing easy access to all anglers and guests, and the aft section of the day heads provides a large window looking out into the cockpit and providing lots of light. With the change in the placement of the day head, forward of the dinette and to port is a fully equipped wet bar area that is like a butler’s pantry. The customers of this 90 Convertible Open Bridge carefully selected all the décor selections, which will showcase what one might see as a neutral and modern color scheme of whites, creams, and light greys.
Moving from the interior to the exterior, one would argue that the biggest attraction to the Open Bridge version of the 90 Convertible is the Flybridge. Even though the space is huge with ample seating, refrigeration, and storage throughout, one will quickly notice that the visibility is excellent, both forward to the bow, and aft to the cockpit and beyond to the spread. As Hull #5 continues to move down the production line, our team at HMY cannot wait to see the finished product!
