Emeril Lagasse Line, Vine, And Dine Returns In 2018
HMY Yacht Sales and Viking Yachts are proud to once again be one of the title sponsors for the Emeril Lagasse Foundation Line, Vine, and Dine Sailfish Tournament. This year's event will take place on February 8th through 10th, 2018 at Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale. The Emeril Lagasse Foundation gives the proceeds from the event to local charities ARC Broward Culinary Institute and the Dan Marino Foundation, both of which are dedicated to improving the lives of people with developmental disorders and other life challenges. The inaugural event in February 2017 raised over $650,000 for the non-profit organizations. Here is the video from the event:
The inaugural tournament resulted in a total of 113 sailfish released by 17 teams. The weekend came to a close on Saturday evening with the Vine & Dine Seafood Cook-Off. Chefs Emeril Lagasse, Clay Conley, Angelo Elia, Cindy Hutson, Sean Brasel and Greg McGowan prepared a variety of seafood dishes paired with wine from some of Napa Valley and Sonoma's best winemakers. Tournament awards, a silent and live auction, and intimate performances by Sammy Hagar and surprise guest Kenny Chesney highlighted the evening.
The 2018 event kicks off on Thursday, February 8th with a Rooftop Welcome Reception. Anglers will enjoy a 360-degree view of beautiful Fort Lauderdale along with an amazing dinner and cocktails.
Friday, February 9th Schedule:
6 AM - Dockside Bloody Mary’s & Breakfast
8 AM - Lines In
4 PM - Lines Out, Scales Open
6 PM - Scales Close
5-9 PM - Dockside Weigh-In Celebration including a live band, guest chefs, and winemakers
For anyone not fishing on Friday, there will be a Fashion Show and Luncheon at Neiman Marcus!
