Celebrating Together at the 2024 Princess Summer Owners Holiday in Block Island

Every spring and summer, Princess Yachts America brings together yacht owners, their families, friends, and dedicated staff for a special gathering. The Princess Owners Holidays have become an eagerly anticipated event, growing in popularity and participation each year. This year's Summer Holiday on Block Island was no exception, offering a perfect blend of camaraderie, relaxation, and fun-filled activities.

A Grand Opening at The Spring House

The festivities kicked off with an enchanting opening dinner at The Spring House, a historic hotel known for its charming ambiance and stunning views. As the sun set, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, guests enjoyed live music, dancing, and the chance to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. The casual and friendly atmosphere set the tone for the weekend, promising memorable experiences ahead.

Fun-Filled Friday

Friday was a day packed with activities designed to cater to diverse interests and preferences. The morning started with a creative Centerpiece Design class, where participants could unleash their artistic talents. Meanwhile, others opted for a scooter/moped tour around the island, taking in the scenic beauty and discovering hidden gems along the way.

For those who preferred a more leisurely pace, a bike tour offered a chance to explore Block Island's charming streets and picturesque landscapes. In the afternoon, a lively pool party cookout provided a perfect setting for relaxation, with delicious food and refreshing drinks.

One of the highlights of the day was the inaugural Princess "Not So Royal" Regatta. In this spirited competition, owners were tasked with building their own boats using supplied materials, mainly cardboard and tape. The creativity and ingenuity on display were truly remarkable, and the race itself was filled with excitement and hilarity.

Saturday's Adventures and Competitions

Saturday brought more opportunities for fun and friendly competition. The morning kicked off with a pickleball tournament, a favorite event at every Princess Rendezvous. Owners faced off against each other, showcasing their skills and enjoying the thrill of the game.

Another beloved tradition, the Egg Toss, saw participants teaming up and testing their coordination and agility. The competitive spirit was high, with everyone eager to win but also sharing plenty of laughs along the way.

The afternoon was free for guests to explore the island on their own. Whether shopping, horseback riding, or taking part in helicopter or ghost tours, there was something for everyone. Block Island's wide range of activities ensured that every guest found something to enjoy.

A Memorable Clam Bake Farewell

The holiday concluded with a delightful clam bake dinner at Champlin's. Guests gathered to savor a delicious meal, share stories from the weekend, and bid each other farewell. The sense of community and connection was palpable, making it a perfect end to a fantastic holiday.
