Among the top-selling big convertibles ever produced, the introduction of the Viking 74 took luxurious yachting and big-game fishing to a new level. Although the 74 is wider and has a much larger deckhouse than the 65 Convertible, it is only 14” higher which gives the boat a dramatic and aggressive stature. Available with four or five staterooms as well as a choice of an open or climate-controlled enclosed bridge layouts with an available inside spiral staircase to the wheelhouse, the 74 Convertible represents the ultimate in style, luxury, power, and comfort. The 74 comes standard with four staterooms, including the crew quarters. (An optional fifth stateroom is located forward and to starboard.) A 50"" plasma TV rises from the hand-finished teak cabinetry in the salon, and the opulent master stateroom features a king-size bed, end tables and credenzas, and an L-shaped lounge. The 218 square foot cockpit is outfitted with a transom door and gate, in-deck fish box, livewell and ice box. An observation mezzanine with port and starboard aft facing lounges houses tackle cabinets, bait freezer, and stowage. MTU 2400hp 16V2000 diesels cruise at 30+ knots (mid to high 30s top). Nearly 50 of these yachts were built.
