Trophy’s largest model ever, the 2902 Walkaround is a well-conceived fishing boat whose versatile layout and low cost made her an appealing choice for budget-minded anglers. The Trophy weighs in at just over 8,500 pounds which makes her a middleweight for boats her size. A full transom and bracket-mounted outboards allow the Trophy to maximize cockpit space, and deep walkways provide secure foredeck access. An overhead electronics box and a rocket launcher come with the optional hardtop, and a Bimini top was standard. Below, the compact cabin offers near-standing headroom, convertible dinette/V-berth, galley with stove, sink, and icebox, and a mid-berth under the entryway steps. An enclosed head with pumpout toilet was standard. Storage for tackle and miscellaneous gear is plentiful. Back in the cockpit, visibility from the helm is excellent in all directions. Additional features include recessed trim tabs, bow pulpit, transom door, generous rod storage, Armstrong engine bracket with swim ladder, twin fish boxes, and a bait prep station with cutting board. Twin 225hp Mercury outboards will deliver a top speed in excess of 35 knots.
