34 Sedan

1972–80

Tollycraft Yachts 34 Sedan
The Tollycraft 34 Sedan was a popular boat in her day, a well-built family cruiser with attractive styling (by 1970’s standards, that is) and a practical, space-efficient interior. Hull construction is solid fiberglass, and V-drives were used to move the engines aft and maximize the interior space. Note that the salon, galley, and dinette are all on the same level. This floorplan—accented with big cabin windows and excellent headroom—provides an unusually wide-open and spacious interior. A lower helm with full instrumentation was standard, and there are berths for six when the salon settee and dinette are converted. Additional features include a stall shower in the head, a huge clothes locker forward, back-to-back flybridge seating, swim platform, and wide side decks. Note that mahogany woodwork was used in the 34 Sedan until 1977 when a simulated wood grain mica became standard. The cruising speed is around 20 knots with standard 270hp Crusader gas engines, and the top speed is 27–28 knots. One of Tollycraft’s more enduring models, well-used 34 Sedans continued to sell well for many years after she went out of production in 1980.
