Tollycraft Yachts
34 Convertible Sedan
1981–86
Out of production since 1987, the Tollycraft 34 Convertible Sedan remained a popular model on West Coast markets for many years thanks to appealing styling, a versatile layout, and Tollycraft’s always-impressive construction and finish. The hull is solid fiberglass, and her 12-foot, 6-inch beam is relatively wide for a boat this size. Her single-stateroom floorplan is arranged with the galley down and an angled double berth forward. A lower helm was standard and large salon windows provide nearly 360-degree outside visibility. Note that a tournament-style flybridge (with the helm aft) became available in 1985 for the East Coast market, and that the simulated teak nonskid decks were dropped the same year. The cockpit of the 34 is large enough for fishing and came with a standard transom door. Additional features include wide side decks, an efficient engine room (accessed from the salon), swim platform, and a stall shower in the head compartment. A well-built boat with a stable ride, twin 270hp Crusader gas engines cruise the Tollycraft 34 Convertible at 18–19 knots and reach a top speed in the neighborhood of 25–26 knots.
