Tiara Yachts
3900 Open
2009–19
Tiara took big express-boat versatility to the next level in 2009 with the introduction of the 3900 Open. Offering the creature comforts of a luxury sportyacht or the cockpit amenities of a full-on sportfisher, the 3900 is one of the few crossover boats her size that really can have it both ways. Regardless of how she’s outfitted, the 3900 is a handsome yacht whose sleek-but-conservative lines will certainly stand the test of time. Key to her multipurpose character are a large cockpit and equally spacious bridge deck, either of which can be configured for fishing or cruising with the right options. In-deck fish (or storage) boxes and a beefy transom door are standard and the hardtop can be ordered with overhead rod storage. Note the raised, aft-facing bench overlooking the cockpit—what Tiara calls “mezzanine seating.” Below, the teak-trimmed interior is highlighted by a large skylight hatch that runs nearly full-length from the master stateroom into the salon. The galley is semi-closed off by a partition that houses a flat-screen TV, and a single upper Pullman berth is concealed behind the U-shaped dinette. Cummins 600hp inboard diesels cruise at close to 30 knots (low 30s top).
