Tiara Yachts 2700 Continental
The 2700 Continental was one of the first express cruisers ever built by Tiara, a company whose reputation was largely established with its series of high-quality saltwater fishing boats. The hull construction of the 2700 is solid fiberglass, and her deep-V bottom and relatively wide beam provide a stable and comfortable ride in a chop. Although clearly dated by today’s high-glitz sportboat standards, the 2700 retains a certain elegance seldom seen in today’s boats. Below decks, the upscale interior is arranged with a V-berth/dinette forward and a double berth in the midcabin—comfortable accommodations for four adults. As usual, the quality furnishings and materials found in the 2700 reflect Tiara’s emphasis on workmanship and finish. The cockpit is very large for a 27-footer with bench seating aft and a raised helm position with a double helm seat. Additional features included a beaujpgully crafted aluminum windshield, wide side decks, a teak swim platform, and good access to the engines. A very capable performer, twin 260hp MerCruiser sterndrives cruise the Tiara 2700 Continental at 24–25 knots and deliver a top speed of 36+ knots.
