Tiara Yachts 3600 Open
An extremely popular model for Tiara with a long production run, the 3600 Open is a quality-built offshore express with a big fishing cockpit, comfortable cabin accommodations, and surprisingly agile performance. Indeed, the 3600 Open set the standards in her era for express boat versatility and luxury, able to serve as a great fishing platform as well as a stable family cruiser. Built on a modified-V hull with a wide 13'9" beam, the original 3600 Open interior slept four with an island berth forward and a separate stall shower in the head. An alternate layout introduced in 1989 sleeps six with a convertible settee opposite the dinette, and the head aft (without the stall shower). Either way, the upscale interior is an appealing blend of grain-matched joinery and premium hardware and furnishings—just what one expects in a Tiara product. The cockpit is large enough for a mounted chair, and the entire bridge deck lifts on hydraulic rams for engine access. Notably, the conservative styling of the Tiara 3600 has stood up well over the years. Standard 350hp gas engines cruise at 20 knots (about 28 knots top), and optional 375hp Cats cruise in the mid 20s.
