Tiara Yachts 3600 Convertible
The Tiara 3600 Convertible is a well-built flybridge sedan whose blend of interior comforts and open-water performance made her a popular boat with cruisers and anglers alike. She’s built on the same hull used for the 3600 Open, a proven offshore design with cored hullsides and a relatively wide beam—a stable fishing platform, but a sjpgf ride in a chop. Fit and finish is excellent—typical of the quality you get in any Tiara product. A sliding glass door leads into a salon whose open front windshield makes the cabin seem larger than it actually is. Two floorplans were available; owners could select the original two-stateroom interior or opt for the less popular single-stateroom layout with a dinette in place of the guest cabin. Both layouts include a mid-level galley, a double berth forward, and a separate stall shower in the head. The cockpit came with a transom door; however the modest cockpit dimensions preclude the installation of a tackle center—a matter of little consequence to cruisers, but a drawback for anglers. Standard 350hp inboard gas engines cruise the 3600 at 19–20 knots (high 20s top). Optional Cat 375hp diesels cruise at 25 knots and post a top speed of 29–30 knots.
