Stratos
3300 Center Console
1992–98
The Stratos 3300 is a big outboard-powered center console with a high-performance, deep-V hull and a raceboat profile. She’s really a Donzi 33 in drag; OMC, who owned both companies at the time, decided to share the Donzi F33 molds with Stratos in order to give Stratos an entry into the high-performance center console market. (The same molds were also used to create the Hydra-Sports 3300.) The narrow, deep-V hull of the Stratos 3300 (which is fully cored) was designed for hard offshore running; her reputation for handling rough seas is well known. The cockpit has about 40 square feet of fishing platform behind the console and includes a leaning post/rocket launcher, recessed rod storage, an in-deck baitwell, and padded bolsters. A small fish box is forward of the console along with port and starboard settees. The small cuddy cabin comes with V-berths, manual head, sink, and room for a stove. Like many narrow deep-Vs, the Stratos 3300 can be a wet ride in a chop. She’ll cruise in the mid-to-high 20s with a pair of 225hp outboards with a top speed in excess of 40 knots. Note the hefty 295-gallon fuel capacity.
