Stratos

2700 Center Console

1992–98

A good-looking boat with her reverse transom and prominent hull graphics, the Stratos 2700—called the 2600 in 1992—was available as a straight-up center console day boat, or in a cuddy version for anglers who want the built-in versatility of an overnighter. Of the two, the cuddy version appears to have been the more popular. Either way, hull construction is solid fiberglass, and an 8'6" beam means the Stratos 2700 is trailerable without a permit. Both models provide just over 40 square feet of fishing space aft of the helm seats. The cockpit came standard with an oval in-deck livewell, above-deck fish box at the transom, under-gunnel rod storage, raw-water washdown, and four flush-mounted rod holders. Two plumbed fish boxes are forward of the console in the open-bow version, and the console features lockable electronics storage. Going forward, the cuddy’s functional interior includes a sink and portable head as well as V-berths and dry storage. A bow pulpit and trim tabs were standard; a T-top was optional. Twin 200hp outboards cruise the Stratos 2700 Center Console at 25–26 knots (40+ top).
