A popular model—and a lot of boat for the money—the Stamas 310 Express was designed for the avid sportfisherman looking for a well-built boat with traditional styling that never goes out of favor. The 310 combines a roomy fishing cockpit with a well-appointed cabin perfect for weekend cruising. A large, low-maintenance cockpit accommodates up to six comfortably and offers standard features like a molded dive platform, transom fish box, six rod holders, insulated baitwell, and overboard draining livewell. The removable transom seat frees up cockpit space when needed, and wide side decks make bow access easy and secure. (Note that the original double helm pod was replaced in 1998 with a single helm and a companion seat.) Below, the cabin of the 310 Express sleeps four with a V-berth/dinette forward, full-service galley with microwave, enclosed head with marine toilet, sink and shower, and functional midcabin with double berth. A teak-and-holly cabin sole and bow pulpit were standard. Twin 225hp Mercury outboards deliver a top speed of close to 40 knots. Inboard models with 300hp MerCruisers cruise at 24–26 knots, and 230hp Yanmar diesels cruise in the mid 20s.
