Selene Yachts 40-42 Archer
Classic trawler0 Archer (called the 42 Archer after 2010), a displacement aft cabin cruiser from Jet Turn Marine in Taiwan. Hull construction is solid fiberglass with a deep keel for tracking, large rudder and wide 14'8" beam. Designed for comfortable long range cruising, cabin accommodations include a very spacious salon with an elevated settee with fixed table to starboard and a linear galley to port with full size refrigerator, double sink, and extensive counter space. A sliding door at the helm makes deck access easy, and visibility through the reverse-slanted front windows is excellent. The master stateroom features a walkaround queen berth, washer/dryer cabinet, and private head with stall shower. Forward is a V-berth with plenty of storage and en suite head/shower. The deck plan is set up to safely get around with wide walkways and secure handholds. The cockpit is large enough for line-handling duties, and the Selene’s broad foredeck design allows for anchors to be safely deployed and retrieved. With near standing headroom, the engine room is more than adequate. A single 355hp Cummins diesel will cruise at 8–10 knots.
