Selene Yachts 36-38 Archer
The Selene 36 (called the Selene 38 after 2010) is a quality-built coastal trawler with a compelling blend of comfort and value. With her graceful sheer, rugged construction and distinctive reverse-raked front windows, this small trawler has long been viewed as one of the most compelling boats in this class. The interior volume is impressive. The galley-up layout boasts two comfortably sized staterooms, two heads, and a roomy salon with the galley to port and an L-shaped sofa opposite. The full-beam master stateroom includes two hanging lockers, separate head and shower compartments, and an engine room access door. Visibility from the lower helm is excellent and the entire interior is finished with solid teak joinery and a teak and holly sole. The Selene’s full walkaround decks and sturdy handrails make this an easy boat to get around. A windlass, bow thruster, swim platform, and bow pulpit are standard. The semi-displacement hull with integral spray-rail provides a dry and secure ride in the most challenging conditions. The engine room is huge with near standing headroom. A single 220hp Cummins diesel delivers an efficient 7–8 knot cruising speed (about 10 knots top).
