The Selene 57 (called the Selene 58 beginning in 2010) is a full-displacement pilothouse trawler designed for long range cruising in comfort and security. Selenes are premium boats and the exquisite interior woodwork, exotic granite and marble, and high-end appliances found in the 57/58 speak volumes about the quality of this heavily built yacht. Entering the salon from the aft deck, to port is an L-shaped settee with hi/low teak table. A leather settee is opposite, and the U-shaped galley is forward to port. Just to starboard of the galley are stairs leading to the pilothouse with an L-shaped settee, pilot berth behind, Stidd helm seat, and Dutch doors port and starboard leading out to the Portuguese bridge deck. There are three staterooms and two full heads below including an amidships master and forward VIP staterooms with queen berths. The second guest cabin with over/under berths and work desk is to port. Access to the engine room is aft through a watertight door at the base of the stairs leading down to the master stateroom. Wide side decks are a plus, and a curved stairwell leads from the aft deck to the flybridge. A single Cummins QSM 11 diesel will cruise the Selene 58 at 8–9 knots.
