Introduced in 2008, the Sailfish 2860 Center Console (called the 290 Center Console since 2013) is a high-end fishing machine whose luxury-class amenities and sophisticated construction are a match for the best boats in her class. Built on a variable deadrise deep-V hull with an integrated transom and moderate 9-foot beam, the 2860s tall bow height gives her more freeboard forward than some 40-footers. The two in-deck fish boxes could be larger. Standard features include forward seating with storage under, insulated in-deck fish boxes, 30-gallon transom livewell, 35-gallon leaning post livewell, lockable rod storage, anchor locker, forward console cooler seat, rod holders (16!), walk-in console with portable head, transom door, recessed trim tabs, swim ladder, cockpit bolsters, raw-water washdown, transom shower, recessed bow rails, and cockpit lights. Popular options include a factory T-top with electronics box, rear cooler seat, anchor windlass, and fold-down aft bench seat. The 290CC also boasts more available options to accommodate family or tournament needs. A lightweight and fuel efficient boat, Yamaha F250s reach over 45 knots wide open.
