Sabre Yachts
52-54 Salon Express
2007–17
The best-selling yacht in her class, the Sabre 54 Salon Express (called the 52 Salon until 2012 when IPS pod drives became standard) is a world-class cruising yacht whose timeless styling and sophisticated engineering place her in the forefront of yachting excellence. Sabre's reputation for craftsmanship is well known—the company has been building high quality Downeast yachts since the late 1980s. Constructed on a state-of-the hull with prop pockets and Divinycell-cored hullsides, the elegant two (or three) stateroom interior is highlighted by an expansive pilothouse/salon area with satin-finished cherry woodwork, U-shaped leather sofa, and large 360-degree cabin windows. A power sunroof is standard and a teak and holly sole runs the full length of the boat. The master stateroom features a walkaround queen bed, en suite head, and unique Shoji-style pocket doors. The VIP stateroom is forward and also includes a queen berth and private head. In the three stateroom interior the galley is laid out on two levels—very unusual. Volvo 715hp IPS pod drives cruise at 24–26 knots. The Sabre 54 Flybridge Sedan is the same boat with a flybridge.
